May 16, 2010· I took a cylinder head to an engine repair shop that had a special grinding machine. A long time ago, but from what I recall it had a largish cuptype grinding wheel on a vertical spindle, set in a hole in the machine table. They pushed the head across it, and repeated until it was cleaned up all over.
